Karina Quinn is a Melbourne based poet, writer, spoken word performer, and researcher and is one of the Managing Editors of Australia's only interdisciplinary, peer reviewed, gender, sexuality and diversity studies journal, Writing from Below. She has recently completed a PhD at La Trobe University titled this body, writing, and was the 2013 runner-up in the prestigious and long running Newcastle Poetry Prize for her poem “Always going home (a domestic cycle)”. Another of her poems, "Colder", was recently projected onto the side of a builiding in Krakow, Poland, for the International Lights Festival.
